Barrow upon Trent Parish Council is represented on the Derbyshire County Council Gravel Liaison Committee together with representatives of Ingleby Parish, Lafarge, South Derbyshire District Council and the Environment Agency.
The Aggregate Levy Sustainability Fund can be contacted by local groups, as grants are available for a wide range of environmental and public amenity projects that compensate local communities for the impact of gravel extraction.
