The Parish News is a result of feedback from the Parish Plan, where many parishoners said they valued it as a way of keeping in touch with what’s going on in the parish.
With the new larger A4 layout we have reduced wasted space around the edges of the page and the front page is now useable for important information. We have colour front and back, so we get to see much more of the beauty in the village! We have decided to not use staples to keep the pages together – the main reason, apart from a small money-saving, is it is much easier to pop into the recycling bin as just paper. No need to prise the small staples out first! It also allows us to insert only one A4 page if we have extra news some months – if staples were used then we would be forced to print two extra pages as before, which would cost more. The new larger size Parish News also allows us to use slightly larger text more often, and to squeeze in more of the fun things such as the new crossword, photo competition and poetry – we hope you enjoy it!
